Phase Progress
In 2003 we presented PMI's direction in the format of 17 phases. Each of these phases were assigned to us by God, so in trust we researched the costs and presented the vision and the costs (a total of $288,134). We have persevered doubt, skepticism, and criticism. The near completion of the greater portion of these phases has strengthened trust in God of many of you and in us. By the end of this year God; through your prayers, financial aid and physical labors; will have completed 12 out of the 17 phases. Not all of these were met as our human minds anticipated, but we have become in heartened and excited to see God's process. We hope you enjoy the same reaction. Of the five remaining phases three are 50% complete.

  • Phase I: Raise Patton family personal income.
    • Phase II: Eye operation for Jason to fix depth perception problem. Eye exercise package donated. Outcome in progress.
  • Phase III: Small car for Tressa. Daewoo Laganza was received in 2004.
    • Phase IV: Video Based Bible School Sponsorship. Difficulty meeting 8 envisioned schools due to lack of airplane. Three schools have been implemented. One running very smoothly and currently in the last of the five terms. Graduation of 14 pastors in July? Funding for three schools fully raised!
    • Phase V: Evangelism 200/20,000 - Difficulty reaching 200 villages and estimated 20,000 people due to lack of aircraft. 38 villages have been visited with 7,500 people receiving preliminary evangelism.
Discipleship 777 - This follow-up program to Evangelism 200/20,000 has been stalled due to the lack of aircraft. Of the 777 people envisioned 300 have benefited from basic biblical teaching.
    • Phase VI: Stucco and paint of garage & meeting area completed. Tiling and grass plant pending after upper stories of Mission Base are complete.
  • Phase VII: Flight recurrence training has been completed on a regular basis.
  • Phase VIII: 15 passenger van. ? was received in ? meeting our needs as we grow.
    • Phase IX: Collision Avoidance Instrument. A priority once Glass Goose is completed.
    • Phase X: Overnight housing on second floor of Mission Base. Currently are shells, will be completed later in 2008 after third floor roof is poured to minimize water damage during Guatemala's rainy season.
    • Phase XI: Build a small apartment (third floor of Mission Base) for housing short-term missionaries that come to Guatemala to support PMI. The floor was poured February 24th, and ¾ of the walls are raised.
    • Phase XII: Third floor roof will be raised and poured later in 2008.
    • Phase XIII: Roof Quarters (fourth floor of Mission Base) will be a dormitory to house visiting mission teams and will be completed late in 2008.
  • Phase XIV: Land and building for an orphanage was purchased in 2004.
  • Phase XV: Hangar/Distribution Center was purchased in 2006. It currently houses our Distribution Center and another Mission's aircraft (required to maintain ownership of hangar). To meet Aero Club rules we have an obligation and clear agreement to become a member of the co-op in order to take full ownership of the hangar. To finalize this purchase the $2,000 co-op membership must be paid. This will also allow us access to reduced rates in hanger fees, fuel costs, reduced aircraft rentals, etc. The Aero Club is not exclusive, but allows all serious or professional aviators to join, creating a fair market.
  • Phase XVI: Orphanage building was renovated in 200? and is now running smoothly.
  • Phase XVII: Expansion of Video Based Bible Schools in fly in locations has been delayed due to the lack of an airplane.

  • In 200? An experimental airplane called the Glass Goose was donated to PMI and an 18th phase was added.

  • Phase XVIII: Build donated Glass Goose. Currently, 70% completed. The time frame of completion is contingent on the manufacturer as the parts production line was rolled back.
